Piparelle
The piparella (in dialect pipareddha) is a dry biscuit typical of the Calabrian area of the Strait, whose main ingredients are flour, almonds, honey and spices. It is characterized by its fragrance and crunchiness, which enhances the taste of the almond and the aroma of the spices: this is due to the particular processing, which takes place in two phases, and to the cut, which is very thin.
Piparella goes perfectly with sweet wines from our area, but can also be enjoyed at breakfast and tea time, or alone, when you want to satisfy the irrepressible desire for something good throughout the day. Our piparella is made with high quality Italian raw materials: from flour, which is strictly type 1 obtained from stone mills, to Tuono almonds, to local honey. We also offer it in the variant flavored with bergamot, the citrus fruit of Reggio Calabria and known throughout the world.
